“Thank you for giving me a place to rest my body and mind. I get blood clots and need to get out of the car often. I cry for my son that’s in prison so I need to do that here, not while driving. The beds are so clean and so comfortable. The showers hot. Plenty of toiletries. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The hot meals are “delishious” and plentiful. No one is stingy. All are helpful. Pray the inmates can start a new life and be productive. Get work. Stay out of trouble. Pray that their families will accept them back. Let them have lives with their children. God bless you folks.”

"I came to HH to volunteer. I also socialized with families and had some good old fashion clean fun. The atmosphere I was in was one that I have never been before. It was not a party with alcohol, loud music and beer pong tables but rather one of exchanging religious thoughts and explaining to others how blessed we are. That hour and a half was the biggest impact I had spiritually during my whole project. On a personal note, this experience has opened my eyes in the sense that by, 'helping others you truly are helping yourself.' We've all heard that statement... But how many of us have allowed it to marinate into our minds and lives? How many of us have truly experienced the full satisfaction of giving ourselves, our time to impact another individual? I challenge everyone to do this with a pure heart and see the blessings it opens up for you."
