A Life Touched

A. a 13 yr. old who'd not been held or kissed by her father other than quick pecks since she was 6 months old, who'd visited him here at the prison unit while staying in the HH every month for the last 11 years with her mother, was reunited with her father upon his release earlier this month. They found out just 2 days before when his release date would be, they'd moved to Michigan to start a new life while waiting on him to e released in Feb., then had to rush around purchasing tickets to fly down, airport iced in, traveled to Chicago by night caught a plane out, my parents picked them up at Bush Intercontinental Houston to bring them to Huntsville and surprise B. His parents were picking him up since K. and A. didn't look like they could make it. When B. walked into the House a free man and saw K. and A. standing there grinning he could not contain his tears nor could we.

He showered by himself (a big deal after years of showering with guards and other men watching) for an hour, came out fresh, clean and ready to start his new life with wife and teenager. He thanked us over and over for taking care of them, providing for them and being their friends. God is so amazing and good!

As we stood in the Prayer Room holding hands praying over them and for them as a re-commitment of their lives together you could feel the tangible presence of God there with us.
